Hello, I’m Catherine Dyson, and I am proud to represent the Greens’ policies for the seat of Hughes.
Hughes is a large and diverse area, home to beautiful natural environments.
We believe that the success of government and the economy should be measured by the positive impact they have on people's lives.
As a former midwife and early childhood health nurse, with a TAFE Certificate III in Horticulture, I am deeply committed to the idea that people can lead fulfilling lives in a thriving natural environment, provided the government acts in the public’s best interest.
I’m confident in presenting our policies to reduce the cost of living because they have been carefully costed by the Independent Parliamentary Budget Office.
Currently, one in three corporations pay no tax. I support the cancellation of the AUKUS deal, which commits $32 million a day for the next 30 years toward acquiring nuclear submarines.
I believe in truth, treaty, and justice for First Nations people.
At the core of my philosophy is fairness for all.
