I'm an arborist, a small business owner, and a proud Launceston local – and I'm running as your Greens candidate for Launceston City Council.
I came to Launceston in 2001 and never left. It's easy to see why – the architecture, the gardens, the hills, the pace of life. There's nowhere quite like it. I'm ready to give something back and help protect what makes this city special while building the future it deserves.
My path to the Greens started with the campaign to stop the Tamar Valley Pulp Mill – a fight I believed in so deeply I was arrested twice as a peaceful protester. No convictions, but plenty of conviction. I've been doorknocking, letterboxing, and showing up for the party ever since, because I believe in what the Greens stand for: environmental protection, social justice, and real democracy from the ground up.
In my tree care business I've put those values into practice every day – building something sustainable, looking after my team, and treating clients and community with respect.
This election, I want to protect what makes Launceston special while building the future it deserves. That means greening our streets with the tree canopy this city needs, expanding EV infrastructure, funding free e-buses, and making sure we're prepared for floods, fires and droughts. I also want to do everything we can to help residents struggling with the cost of living crisis. And on every development proposal, I'll push for transparency and outcomes that genuinely work for everyone.
