Labor is selling our state off for parts.
Leaked Cabinet documents show that the state government in Victoria has spent the last 5 years planning to privatise Melbourne Water.
Labor has become crafty with privatisation over the years. Joint ventures. Public private partnerships. Long term leases. It all washes out the same: handing control of our essential public services over to private interests.
Its privatisation with some fresh PR spin.
Labor’s go-to budget band-aid is flogging off public assets at every opportunity. They’ll do anything to avoid the real solution: taxing big corporations to properly fund essential public services.
Privatisation is a pathway to worse services for more money. We can’t let Melbourne Water join Labor’s scrap pile: VicRoads, the Port of Melbourne, the Land Titles Office – the list goes on.
Tell Labor: no more privatisation on our watch. Melbourne Water is not for sale.
