I’m a Wiradjuri Bunurong person living and raised in the West, by a big, staunch queer Aboriginal family.
Despite decades of neglect, our region is defined by strength, resilience and community and I believe these are the values that can shape a future built on care and reciprocity for Country and community. I’ve worked with not-for-profits and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, focusing on building systems and policies that centre self-determination and effective governance.
First Nations justice is everyone’s business, and it goes hand-in-hand with standing in solidarity with oppressed peoples everywhere, from here on Country to Palestine. When we show up for each other, we build a movement strong enough to take on the systems that oppress us all.
Together we can ensure the West leads in shaping a future of hope and inclusion.
