Hi, I'm Payal
I am a local mum, engineer, technology advisor, family violence advocate, union member and I am ready to be Kalkallo’s voice for better public transport, roads, and support when times are tough. Kalkallo is one of the most diverse electorates in Victoria and it deserves a member who doesn't need it explained to her. We have a vibrant community, but Kalkallo residents pay full stamp duty and full rates for suburbs with no train station, no secondary school in Beveridge, and one road in and out.
I've sat in Mitchell Shire council meetings, met with Hume's mayor and CEO, and spent this year listening on doorsteps to the same things: the roads, the hospital, the trains, the footpaths. I have worked hard on the getting a response to our demands for a Beveridge train station. Advocacy that matters. I will continue to do this as your representative in the State Parliament, asking the hard questions and asking for better for our communities.
