Rachel Iampolski

Candidate for the Senate

Hi, I'm Rachel.

I'm a community advocate, and urban geography researcher and educator at RMIT. I have spent time studying the policies that shape our cities and communities and I have advocated for sustainable solutions that put people before profit.

I am deeply concerned about the issues that our community faces right now.

Grocery prices are rising, healthcare and housing is completely unaffordable and our government continues to open up more coal and gas mines in a climate crisis. Meanwhile big corporations are making record profits and are donating millions of dollars to the major parties. It’s no wonder our government is failing to act.

As a member of the “Save Public Housing Collective”, I recognise the bold action our government needs to be taking to fix the housing crisis. I’m also proud that the Greens are fighting for cheaper groceries, a rent freeze, no new coal and gas, and low rate mortgages.

The Greens don’t take corporate donations and are committed to making big corporations pay their fair share to fund the things we all need, like dental and mental health into Medicare and making sure you can see the GP for free.

This election, don’t let the major parties take your vote for granted. Nothing changes, if nothing changes.

If you want change, you have to vote for it.
