Hi, I’m Heather and I’m proud to be one of your Greens candidate for the Senate at the federal election!
I’m a mum and university lecturer. I know what it’s like to struggle with rent and bills, and I’ve seen so many of my students drop out of uni because of financial pressures. This isn’t the future I want for our kids.
In a rich country like Australia, we can stop supermarket price gouging, cap rents and have free university and TAFE for all.
For too long, the major parties have been tinkering on the edges of the big issues, creating policy that benefits them and their corporate donors. They’ve been looking at the short term, and not considering what our futures look like.
This election we have a real opportunity to get more Greens into parliament to push the government further and faster on issues that matter to us; like urgent action on the cost of living, housing and climate crises.
A better future for WA is possible – but we have to make it happen together.
